If you look around the Internet as the exact definition of a Disciple is and what constitutes a true Disciple, there are often explanations that he must believe in Yahushua in his heart and confess Yahushua with his mouth. One is already a Disciple. Is it that simple?
Our definition of a Disciple is that a Disciple is a person who confesses YAHUSHUA and his teachings and beings and beliefs. He imitates YAHUSHUA and loves Him. His will is the will of Yahushua, his heart resembles the heart of Yahushua, his action corresponds to that of Yahushua, the Messiah. For this, however, one must first become aware of who Yahushua actually was. The Bible says that Yahushua was gentle and humble in heart. What does "meekness" and "humility" mean? The German Encyclopedia of Value Judgment („Enzyklopädie der Wertvorstellungen“) explains this as follows:
Warmheartedness, good-naturedness, mildness, kindness, tenderness, patience, concessions, peacefulness, serenity, kindness of heart, peace of mind, equanimity, courtesy, empathy, kindness.
Similarly: charity, helpfulness, attention, cordiality, mercy. A calm, peaceful and well-balanced nature with a benevolent attitude.
Devotion, surrender, devotion, obedience, willingness to make sacrifices, submissiveness.
Attenuated: modesty, frugality.
Foreign words: devotion, humility
Devotion to an accepted higher-level instance.
So we conclude that Yahushua was full of mildness and goodness, that He was peace-loving and selfless. He showed kindness to everything and everyone and was willing to sacrifice (not only in the sense of his death on the cross, where He offered Himself as a sacrifice for all of us) and thus to put Himself aside for another being. If one reads it this way, would anyone seriously think that Yahushua would approve of killing and eating meat? If one insists on the fact that Yahushua preached that eating meat was all right in view of His nature, which we have just examined, then one will find serious differences here. The one does not fit with the other. Besides, Yahushua turned His love and mercy on and off like a lamp, depending on who He was ready to give mercy and love for. But if one deals so arbitrarily with love and goodness, is it then genuine, deeply felt love and goodness? Whoever feels this seriously and deeply and genuinely and truly cannot help but embrace EVERYTHING around him with love and mercy. Just as a tilted glass of water wets and covers everything in its environment, so it is with true love and goodness: it covers everyone in its own environment, whether man or animal or nature. So must Yahushua have been, whose radiant aura and mildness and goodness captured and changed everything in His environment. With this kind and loving Yahushua in mind and the brutal torture images of animals in modern mass animal husbandry or also in those days in the sense of brutal sacrifice and slaughter rituals of the Jews in mind - do these two things fit together?
So was Yahushua, the Son of God, the Son of Yahuah, indifferent to the rest of His Father's creation? Was it only about human beings and the rest, which came out of God's hand, was therefore obsolete? Yahushua was certainly of the opinion that as soon as one confessed Him and accepted His being full of mildness and kindness, one would behave kindly and mildly in accordance with the animals and nature from the very beginning. If love and mercy comes seriously and all-encompassingly from the heart, then it was only logical that it should not be turned on and off at will like a lamp, but should always encompass everything. So also animals and nature. But unfortunately people perverted this love and mercy by thinking that they only needed to love people and for the rest there was no proper instruction according to the Bible. But is this reason enough, just because there is no explicit instruction in the classical Bible known to us, to let other beings - filled with the breath of God - suffer for this reason? Does not one's own mind, one's own heart, one's own morals, which we have received from Yahushua as soon as we accept His being, not have to intervene immediately and shout NO to all the abominations of animals and nature? Can one as a Disciple simply turn away and say: "There is nothing in the Bible about this, so it is none of my business" without being judged by God because one has admitted injustice? Is that enough as an excuse before God? In our eyes this is not enough. Even if there is no exact "instruction" in the Bible, there are enough passages in the Bible that prove that we should take reasonable care of the animals and help them and avert every possible suffering from them.
At least God gave us the earth into our hands BEFORE the Fall, that we should subdue it. This means that this should of course be done in GOOD and not in evil, where we torture, abuse, torture and kill everything among us. After the Fall Satan received power over the earth and so we no longer have power over it. Here are a few of these biblical passages:
„So Balaam rose in the morning and saddled his donkey and went with the princes of Moab. But God’s anger was kindled because he went, and the angel of the Lord took his stand in the way as his adversary. Now he was riding on the donkey, and his two servants were with him. And the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road, with a drawn sword in his hand. And the donkey turned aside out of the road and went into the field. And Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the road. Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on either side. And when the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she pushed against the wall and pressed Balaam’s foot against the wall. So he struck her again. Then the angel of the Lord went ahead and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right or to the left. When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam. And Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he struck the donkey with his staff. Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have made a fool of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you.” And the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?” And he said, “No.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, with his drawn sword in his hand. And he bowed down and fell on his face. And the angel of the Lord said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse before me. The donkey saw me and turned aside before me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, surely just now I would have killed you and let her live.” Then Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned, for I did not know that you stood in the road against me. Now therefore, if it is evil in your sight, I will turn back.“ (Numbers 22:21-34)
„If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.
If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.“ (Exodus 23:4-5)
„You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.“ (Deuteronomy 22:4)
„And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”(1Samuel 15:22-23)
„But in these sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. Consequently, when Christ1 came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me; in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.“ (Hebrews 10: 3-6)
„And I will make for them a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the creeping things of the ground. And I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land, and I will make you lie down in safety.“ (Hosea 2:18)
„For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.“ (Hosea 6:6)
„Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat the flesh. For in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, I did not speak to your fathers or command them concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices. But this command I gave them: ‘Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’ But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have persistently sent all my servants the prophets to them, day after day. Yet they did not listen to me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers. “So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you. And you shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, and did not accept discipline; truth has perished; it is cut off from their lips.“ (Jeremiah 7:21-28)
„He (along with those accompanying him) managed to avoid defiling themselves by living like wild animals: they ate grass for food.“ (2.Makkabäer 5:27)
„Because human beings and animals share the same fate. One dies just like the other—both have the same life-breath. Humans are no better off than animals because everything is pointless.
All go to the same place: all are from the dust; all return to the dust. (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20)
“He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck; he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers pig’s blood; he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol. These have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations.“ (Isajah 66:3)
In all these scriptures it becomes clear that God has never allowed man to offer burnt offerings or sacrifices or eat animals. In addition, cattle are worth as much as humans, because we share the same breath. And we should take care of the animals, because God gave them into our hands, but not in such a way that we should and do rule over them domineeringly and violently and leave what we want with them. All this has been appropriated by man himself and the Word of God has been turned in such a way that it again suits the man who loves flesh. But through this he deceives himself, because God does not like it. God knows what He has allowed us humans to do and what not, and everything else comes from man and his wickedness. These biblical passages mentioned clearly prove what God thinks of our flesh-riding and who still does not have enough biblical passages to prove that we are not allowed to eat meat and who is still not satisfied by it, cannot be satisfied with anything, not even if God himself tells him that he would not believe it. To eat meat has become like a drug, an addiction for man, which he is not even able to fight for God or at least tries to do so out of love for God. Stubborn people who pretend to belong to God, but who cannot be put on the right path with any biblical or extra-biblical word of God, deceive themselves, their own hearts and worst of all: they deceive God. They think they are safe, in a good Disciple life, they think they are only doing what God wants them to do. But as we have just explained in the Bible, they only do their own will and not the will of God and not the will of Yahushua, who never want to kill, shed blood, eat meat and see us human beings.
Many Disciples think that because Yahushua did not address certain things, this would mean that one should do these things quietly. Is that really the case? Is it still legal to do things that Yahushua apparently did not mention in the Bible and claim that that is okay? Yahushua didn't mention child abuse, rape, abortion or other bad things: so are they good and okay? Hardly. We can imagine that Yahushua did not address everything because He wanted us to become like Him, to accept His being of love and mercy. So it would be "logical" not to address things, because we - once we are like Yahushua - don't want to and can do anything bad from us anyway. The one who has truly accepted the nature of Yahushua does not abuse children, does not drive them away, does not torture and does not kill man or animal, does not rape andand. Hence the gap in the Bible. But it would be better for most who call themselves Disciples if He had spoken about it exactly, since so many in His name refer to Him and only do what He has said and what He has not said simply do innocently and say "There is nothing in the Bible about it" and thus knowingly allow evil and sin themselves gravely. As already described above, a Disciple cannot simply turn away from obviously immoral, unjust and evil acts that happen on earth in his environment: God looks closely!
In addition, a strict Jew once told us that the children of Israel had always lived vegan and that the regulations of battles and sacrifices and eating meat never came from God and therefore the Torah was forged, because Moses and all other people wanted meat but this was never the will of God. The children of Israel always knew only the vegan way of life for the preservation of God's creation.
According to the copy of an original letter from Publius Lentullis in Rome, Yahushua looked like and came over for others. The Roman governors used to send reports to the Senate about major events in the area under their jurisdiction, and in the days of Tiberius Caesar, Publius Lentullus, governor of Judea, wrote to the Senate about Yahushua:
"There has recently appeared a man of great virtue named Yahushua ha-Mashiach, who still lives among us and is recognized by Gentiles as the prophet of truth, while his disciples call him the Son of God. He raises the dead and heals diseases of all kinds. He is a man of rather high form, graceful, with awe-inspiring face, so that whoever looks at him feels love and fear at the same time. His hair has the darkness of the chestnut, is fully ripened, flows flat over his ears, but then falls in a more Oriental manner into curls and wraps around his shoulders. He wears his hair parted in the middle of his head, in the manner of the Nazarites.
[The Nazarites were a vegetarian religious community.].
His forehead is smooth and very fine. His face is without spot or fold and embellished by a lovely red. His nose and mouth are shaped so that nothing can be exposed. His beard is dense, of the same colour as the main hair, not very long, but forked. His gaze is innocent and mature, his eyes green, clear and lively. In condemning hypocrisy he is terrible, in admonitions polite and full of good words, in conversation friendly and cheerful and yet also full of dignified seriousness. No one can remember ever having seen him laugh, but many saw him cry. His body is in all parts of wonderful symmetry. His hands and arms offer a delightful sight. He is very calm, modest and wise when he speaks. He is a man whose unusual beauty surpasses all other men".
This ancient description of Yahushua's appearance and aura and his behavior by someone who experienced Him in the flesh clearly tells us what a person Yahushua must have been. We read here a lot of love and peace and benevolence, that it now seems even more impossible that this unspeakably loving Yahushua approved the killing and bloodshed of poor and innocent beings. Especially since Yahushua had always stood up for the poor, oppressed and outcasts, and in this we see no reason why He meant not only people, but also innocent animals and nature. Everything belongs to the creation of God! He walked towards children, He walked towards women and He walked towards animals and nature, because all these were inferior beings in the eyes of society. Yahushua was not an egoist and did what He Himself wanted. He did what God, the Father, Abba Yahuveh wanted from Him and so He did only morally right and good. This can never include torture, abuse, bloodshed, death and eating meat. That can be completely ruled out. Death and Yahushua do not fit together. Corruption and Yahushua do not fit together. Torture, abuse, torment and Yahushua do not fit together.
